The following people could pursuit their studies at

“I really appreciate the
teaching methodology at
the School. In my
opinion, this
scholarship is a way to
be part of a global
community: Being part of
this global community
gives me new
perspectives and
provides me with
information on how the
EU market works. In the
Philippines, there is a
strong need to develop
our European exchanges.
Our country should be
able to send more
talented people to
Europe. Maastricht
University is simply the
best place to learn
about European
perspectives!”

I
chose to study at the
School of Governance
because of their
partnership
with the International
Labour Office and the
perfect mix between
theory and practice
within their master’s
programme. I think that
it is quite clear how my
diploma will help me to
excel and will return
homewards after my
graduation. I have
responsibilities to
fulfil back home since
the Indonesian
Government invested in
me, in my studies.
Studying abroad is an
excellent opportunity to
broaden your knowledge
in the subject you are
studying but also
experiencing the lives
of other people in the
rest of the world. Being
able to interact with
people is really
different going abroad
to visit for work or
holidays. Now, I get to
know more about Dutch
people, their customs
and culture… Being part
of a life on the other
side of the world is
really changing my
perspective in many
things.

The
scholarship gives me and
my home country many
opportunities for the
future. The programme is
a big challenge a lot of
responsibilities. I
consider it as my main
responsibility to bring
the best of what I have
learned back home in
order to apply my skills
in the field of good
governance and new
policies. This expertise
is lacking in my country
nowadays. The
multidisciplinary of the
MPP programme is very
motivating. The School
is a community with a
wide variety
nationalities and
backgrounds. In this
challenging learning
environment we do not
only learn from our
teachers but also from
our fellow students.

"Having the chance of
studying the Social
Protection Financing master's
programme at the
Maastricht Graduate
School of Governance was
in fact not only a chance
to gain applied
knowledge in the field
of social protection,
but it also offered the
opportunity to develop a
research project on the
improvement of the
labour market
regulations which
certainly will be
beneficial in my home
country Peru."
