USA Election Breakfast
5 November 2008, 08.00 am - 12.00 am
Kapoenstraat 2

Organized by Montesquieu Institute (Faculty of Law) & Maastricht Graduate School of Governance

On November 4, 2008, America will elect a new President. The new inhabitant of the White House will largely determine the course of American politics for the next four years, even though in many respects the President’s impact will also depend on his or her ability to work with the newly elected Congress.

After the world’s largest and most closely watched political campaign has come to an end and when the final results are coming in, the Montesquieu Institute (Centre for European Parliamentary History and Constitutional Development) and the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance will organize a breakfast event at Maastricht University.

The USA Election Breakfast provides an opportunity for students and staff from various academic backgrounds to witness the results and to discuss their ideas and expectations regarding the newly elected American leadership. In addition, a group of experts are invited to provide their own opinions, insights and commentary in a discussion forum.

The event is open to all students and staff of the university, but may also attract others who are interested in the U.S. elections.

More information on this event to be available soon!
