Research Interest
My research interest is about energy sector development in Balkan countries. Demand for energy products in the 21st century is increasing, however the supply of the energy products remains as one of the biggest challenges because energy supply is constantly decreasing, thus widening the gap between supply and demand. Consequently, improving the balance between energy supply and energy demand is a significant factor in improving and sustaining economic growth and development in South Eastern Europe. In order to increase competitiveness and cooperation, South Eastern Europe countries have signed The Energy Community in South Eastern Europe (ECSEE) treaty. This treaty aims to create the legal framework for an integrated energy market. As a matter of fact, energy is a major input in the economies of the South Eastern Europe as they are heavy industrial economies, as such, the effect of the ECSEE treaty in the economic development of Balkan countries is the part that I will research, analyze and present through various relevant indicators.
