Research interest and work
I have currently working in Ministry of Finance and National Planning in Zambia in the Economic Management Department. My research interest is in macroeconomic policy coordination and implementation, particularly its relevance and effectiveness in improving the life styles and well being of ordinary citizens. I also have a keen interest in law, particularly as it touches policy issues.
During my BA degree and immediately after, I was actively involved in research work in rural poverty issues and thereafter worked for a community-based organization specializing in functional literacy. Shortly afterwards, I joined the Ministry of Finance and National Planning in 2001 as a consultant to assist in developing the country’s Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP). After completion of the assignment, I formally was incorporated as a fulltime civil servant in macroeconomic policy analysis in 2003 where I have been involved in several assignments including the drafting the Fifth National Development Plan (2006-2011) and the Vision 2030 for Zambia.
