Public Policy and Human Development (MPP)
Career perspectives
Graduates of the MSc programme in Public Policy
and Human Development are
academically trained policy
designers and analysts who are able
to conduct independent academic
research and who are in a position
to analyse and solve multi- and
interdisciplinary policy problems in
a professional practice. As policy
designers and analysts, they are
able to review the options for
taking action and to select the best
alternative action based on economic,
legal, social, cultural, political
and financial viability and
sustainability. Policy monitoring
and policy evaluation are logical
complements in the toolbox of policy
analysts.
Graduates will be able to work
throughout the world in the domestic
institutions of both advanced and
less developed countries, including
national and provincial governments,
ministries ( Ministry of Foreign
Affairs), pension funds (ABP), market authorities (AFM), NGOs, as
well as in the setting and core of
international organisations (UNDP,
UNICEF, World Bank, OECD) and
consultancies (Ecorys and Ecotec).
