PhD Programme in Economics and Policy Studies of Technical Change
The Maastricht Economic Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (MERIT) and the United Nations University Institute for New Technologies (UNU/INTECH) jointly offer a PhD study program, in co-operation with the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance, on the policy and economic dimensions of technical change. This program is offered every other year - the next intake will be for September, 2007.
Objective
To train researchers in theoretical, institutional and policy issues underlying technical change and the role of technical change in fostering economic growth and development in both developed and developing countries
Student profile
The program is designed for an international student body and therefore we are interested in candidates from both the Northern and Southern hemispheres. Candidates must possess a degree from a recognised university or institution of higher education.
