Mr. Alex Wilks
EURODAD

 

 

Alex Wilks is Director of the European Network on Debt and Development (Eurodad). He joined Eurodad in 2004. He is responsible for the organisation’s overall strategic direction, managing staff, commissioning and editing briefings, and advocacy.

From late 1995 he established and ran the Bretton Woods Project, a London-based NGO which monitors the World Bank and IMF. Other jobs have included work for The Ecologist magazine and for an ethical investment company.

Alex graduated from Oxford University, where he studied Modern History, focussing on the politics and economics of colonialism and decolonisation. He has written many articles and briefings, and has been active in many campaigns. He has initiated innovative communications initiatives including IFIwatchnet  and the World Bank president blog.
