Training activities

Next to the master and PhD programs within the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance, the School also offers national and international organizations, scholars and professionals the opportunity to update their knowledge on specific governance themes. In cooperation with our extensive network within the field, MGSoG creates training programs according to specific needs, objectives and trends. Within these training programs, recent insights from academic theory and research with respect to policy problems will be incorporated in seminar settings; workshops and lectures will be given by prominent specialists from across the globe.

Training activities include:

Short Courses >>
Does your work or private life not allow you to participate in a one-year full time programme? Then the short courses could be an interesting option. The courses, integrated in our master’s and PhD programmes, broaden and deepen your knowledge in one or more specific areas.

Advanced Academic Update (AAU) >>
The School regularly organises events which offer organisations, scholars and professionals the opportunity to update their knowledge in specific governance themes in a seminar setting.

Master in European Migration Policies >>
Master programme for professionals organised by Maastricht University and the European Institute for Public Administration

Summer School >>
Spend a week of your summer to participate in the international, research related and policy oriented summer school in Governance and Social Protection.

Seminar Series >>
Every two weeks the MGSoG invites distinguished professionals (ranging from academics to policymakers) to Maastricht to give presentations on topics of current interest.

Online Courses >>
As our masters programs require basic knowledge in Economics, Governance & Political Science, Mathematics and Statistics, we offer applicants, with less than average prior knowledge in the respective content domains, the opportunity to follow online preparatory courses. These courses cover the applicable topics and contribute to a smooth transition to one of our programs.
