Content and objectives
This course gives you a practical taste of what it is like to work in the area of migration studies. This course is composed of two parts. The first part of the six week course will consist of lectures and practical sessions on the major quantitative and qualitative approaches used in migration studies. In the second half of the course you will do your own small scale studies and present the findings. Methodologies that will be covered include: surveys, in-depth interviews, ethnography, focus groups, participant observation, discourse analysis, etc.
